「史上初!脳波バトルロワイヤル!」
ミニショーを見ている時の、複数人の脳波を光通信を利用して計測するシステムによって、異なるジャンルのミニショーの盛り上がりを脳波で比較します。
こちらでは、観客の脳波の様子を可視化するシステムを制作しました。
「超未来な自分探し Vol. 1 自分の顔を探せ！」
自分がどの程度自分の顔を覚えているかと改めて聞かれると、自信がなくなる方も多いのではないでしょうか？
微妙に変形した自分の顔たちの中に潜む自分の顔を当てていく自分探しです。おみやげも出てきます。

可視光通信の可視化をやっています。脳波を取る装置は大抵 BLE ですが、多数デバイスや通信が混雑するイベント会場では使い物になりません。
NTTさんが研究する解決案は脳波の信号を可視光化して高速カメラとGPUの解析によって多数デバイスの処理を可能にしています。
昨日は 30人以上の脳波を同時に取得出来ました。

キャラはミップ君と勝手に名付けていますが、黄色=普通、赤=集中、緑=リラックスです。
楽しいコンボもあるゲームっぽい仕上げにしていてステージに上がっているパフォーマーが観客の集中を狙ってポイントを稼ぎます。
真ん中の画面にピカピカしているのが観客の脳波です。一番稼いだパフォーマーが脳波バトルに勝利。

A system that uses optical communication to measure the brain waves of multiple people while watching a mini-show compares the excitement of mini-shows of different genres.
Here, we created a system that visualizes the state of the brain waves of the audience.

Many people lose confidence when asked how well they remember their own faces, don't they?
It is a search for yourself by guessing your own face that is hidden in your subtly deformed faces. Souvenirs will also be available. I am in charge of the production of the whole system here.

Today I am at a crazy event called Niconico Chokaigi (think cosplay x internet video x music) helping out NTT's (Japan's AT&T) research division.
The folks at NTT have developed a system to capture the brain waves of a bunch of people at once using visible light communication.
This is neat because most brain wave devices use BLE which 1. won't work with a bunch of devices at once, 2. definitely won't work consistently at a crowded event space.
The movie is the system at work with 30+ people.
The yellow characters = normal, red = paying attention, green = relaxing.
There are also a bunch of combo's (like 2 people paying attention doubling up into one character, etc.) Three groups perform and the group that gets the most points wins.
