Aonodokutsu (meaning blue cave in Japanese) is one of the major winter illumination events in Tokyo. Located next to NHK Hall between Shibuya and Harajuku it sees several million visitors during the month of December. Aonodokutsu is made special by the combination of sound and light. The lighting of 40 trees pulse and ebb to the pianist's live performance. We worked with Lader Production, Inc. who arranged the MIDI signal which we translated to DMX with an original algorithm to control the blue lights. vitte, Inc. controlled the white lights.
