art and program, Inc. is a company of creators who use the technique of programming to create art. While pursuing beauty as an artist, we also use cutting-edge technology as an engineer to develop software and hardware with clients and partners in a variety of fields.
Business
Prototyping
We elaborate on our clients' ideas, create devices that no one has ever made, design interactive spaces, and analyze and visualize data streams. We have an environment that allows us to be involved in every step of the manufacturing process from the beginning to the finished product, allowing us to continually improve the quality of our products through quick prototyping iterations.
Our in-house lab can develop software that runs on a variety of devices, as well as produce high-precision PCBs (printed circuit boards), manufacture hardware cases using 3D printers, embroidery work, and scent formulations.
Products
We plan, design, manufacture, and sell original apparel products and digital devices, and our experience in product development, sales, and customer support, starting with the "synapseWear," which was crowdfunded and launched in 2018, has been utilized in our Prototyping business. Our experience in product development, sales, and customer support is also utilized in our Prototyping business.
The "aprg®︎" brand aims to create things that we really want while having fun. We started this brand with the aim of continuously making things that will be loved for a long time, rather than chasing short-term fads.
Helping Artists
We support the creation of contemporary art works utilizing cutting-edge technology. We use our own experience as artists to support artists in the creation of their artworks, from the idea to the technology used in the production process.
Philosophy
Art is an activity to think about what problem needs to be solved (question), rather than to search for a solution to a given problem (answer). What should we do now with our limited resources and time? What should the future hold as society becomes more complex and uncertain? We will continue to ask these questions and aim to create a better future through technology.
